In the past 20 years the Museum has presented 213 exhibits, representing 1,162 artists from around the world.  We have also had 10 Quilt & Fiber Arts Festivals, averaging 150-180 entries from approx. 120 different artists in multiple countries each year! We are an international destination, both in exhibitors and guests!
We are proud of our history and what we have achieved in the past 20 years however, it was time to update the image we present to the world - not just to modernize our brand but to be more in alignment with our mission and vision. In the past two years the Board has adopted a new Mission Statement and crafted both a Vision Statement and a Collections Purpose Statement. (Read here.) Adding “Pacific Northwest” to our name better reflects the true reach of our programs and mission, as well as better represents our Collections focus, particularly to potential funding organizations.
The graphic found in our new logo was inspired by the Flying Geese quilt pattern.  It also evokes popular embroidery, knitting, crocheting stitches and weaving patterns. It's sleeker, more modern look is both a nod to our heritage as well as points to our future.

The Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum is located on the land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community. Many Indigenous peoples thrive here — alive and strong.
With gratitude, we honor their stewardship of these lands since time immemorial to the present day.
This land acknowledgement does not take the place of authentic relationships with indigenous communities.
We also aim to highlight the major artistic contributions made by indigenous Pacific Northwest artists to the history of weaving and textile arts through exhibits and public programs.
